STEP 2: download the V1 Golf app & select me as your coach!
SELECT ME AS YOUR COACH!
Simply create an account (or log in) to the V1 Golf app. At the bottom of the "home" screen tap the "people" icon, then tap "Select Academy and Coach". At the very top where it says "Select Academy", just beneath that use the "Search Academies" search bar and start typing Bob Menzies and that'll find me, the Bob Menzies Golf Training Studio. Simply select that and then tap on Bob Menzies to complete the selection process!

Set your videoing device approximately 10 feet behind you, but be sure to have your ENTIRE swing viewable/in-frame! Position it so that you're videoing directly through the bottom of the grip, essentially just beneath your bottom hand (WHITE ARROW) -- which just as importantly should also be properly positioned parallel to your target line (RED ARROW).
PRO TIPS:
- Do not video your swings directly down your target line -- that will not give me the best angle to properly analyze your swings, especially for swing plane purposes!
- If you're doing this by yourself, flip your camera orientation around to face you, then go back to your hitting area and make a slow practice swing to check that your entire swing stays fully viewable/in-frame!

Set your videoing device approximately 10 feet in front of you, but be sure to have your ENTIRE swing viewable/in-frame! Position it so that you're videoing at belt-high, and directly square/straight to your body.
PRO TIPS:
- The V1 Golf app has 2 helpful silhouette "body" capture guides to help properly video your swings. From the capture screen, tap on DTL (DOWN-THE-LINE) or FACE ON to view the silhouette!
- The V1 Golf app also has a camera timer, which you may find helpful. From the capture screen, tap the timer icon once, twice or three times to get either 5, 10, or 15 seconds, then tap the red record button. The timer will start counting down, and when you hear a beep, the recording will begin!
- Remember, it's FREE to record your "live" swings in the V1 Golf app, but if you want to import videos from the camera roll on your phone, you'll need to upgrade to V1 Golf Plus "+". This will also unlock the "compare" tool, which allows you to compare your swings side-by-side with any other swings!
STEP 4: use the V1 Golf app to send me your swings!
SEND ME YOUR SWINGS:
The V1 Golf app is FREE and is the easiest way for you to send me your swings! They also have a Plus "+" upgrade option to their app which offers more features than the free version (like being able to import swings from your camera roll, and also being able to unlock the "compare" tool which allows you to compare your swings side-by-side with any other swings) -- but you're still able to send me your "live" swings with the FREE version -- just be sure to SELECT ME (Bob Menzies Golf Training Studio) AS YOUR COACH!
PRO TIP:
Just before you send me your swings, please trim them to remove any unnecessary pre or post swing movements, to save both uploading time and space!
RECEIVE YOUR ONLINE LESSONS:
When I send your lessons to you, they'll show up in the My Lessons section, and they'll remain stored on the app and in that section so you can always refer back to them!
STEP 5: consider buying a GolfPod tripod to video swings!
Videoing your swings is VERY EASY to do -- especially with the GolfPod 2.0!
