Kywin Supernaw, a former defensive back/safety for the Detroit Lions, spent 3 seasons in the NFL with the Detroit Lions.  He played college football at Indiana.  Supernaw was very mobile and had lots of talent.  However, his career was dramatically cut short when he was forced to retire after the 2000 season due to a neck and ankle injury.
