Bobby
Jay, a native of Burlington, Massachusetts, was a stocky
stay-at-home defenseman. Jay played in three NHL games for the
Los Angeles Kings during the 1993-94 season. However, the
majority of his six-year pro career was spent in the IHL. Jay was an original member of the
IHL's Detroit Vipers
franchise in the 1994-95 season, as a player. He served as
an Assistant Captain during the 1996-99 seasons. Later, he
was the Assistant Coach of the Vipers for their final two seasons.
