Rene Chapdelaine, another hockey-buddy of mine, was selected
149th overall in the 1986
NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, whom he played 32
games for during his career. He had played two years of
junior hockey before enrolling at Lake Superior State
University, where he played four years. The pinnacle of
his collegiate career came in his junior year when the school
won the NCAA national championship. Another player on that
championship winning team included future NHL player
Dan Keczmer. Today, Chapdelaine coaches high school
hockey in northern Michigan.
